Tuesday, May 1 was the Feast of Saint Joseph the Worker.
I wish to include here another important teaching on Human Work - the encyclical letter of Pope St. John Paul II, Laborem Exercens, issued on September 14, 1981. Today this continues to be an important part of Catholic Social Teaching begun by Pope Leo XIII's 1891 encyclical letter Rerum Novarum.
